This project started with a persistent window leak that caused hidden water damage inside the walls of a beautiful Southern California home.
Although the moisture was not immediately visible, our inspection using thermal imaging and professional moisture meters confirmed elevated moisture levels beneath several second-floor windows. After identifying the affected areas, we built full containment to protect the rest of the home from dust and contamination during demolition. Once the walls were opened, we discovered significant hidden moisture, mold growth, and damaged structural framing that required immediate attention. Our team safely removed all damaged materials, performed professional mold remediation, and installed commercial-grade air movers, dehumidifiers, and HEPA air filtration equipment to completely dry the structure. Throughout the drying process, we monitored moisture levels daily to ensure every affected material reached acceptable standards before reconstruction. After all repairs were completed, we verified that the structure was completely dry, reconstructed the damaged areas, restored the exterior finishes, and returned the home to its original condition. Projects like this demonstrate why hidden water damage should never be ignored.
