During our inspection, we identified elevated moisture levels using professional moisture meters and thermal imaging.
After opening the affected areas, we discovered extensive hidden mold growth behind the drywall, inside the cabinet, and beneath the laminate flooring. The moisture had also reached the structural framing and subfloor. To complete the project safely, we first established a full containment area to prevent mold spores from spreading throughout the home. We then performed selective demolition, removed all water-damaged drywall, cabinet materials, and affected flooring, and treated the contaminated areas following industry-standard mold remediation procedures.
After removing the damaged materials, we installed professional drying equipment, including air movers, dehumidifiers, and air filtration equipment, to completely dry the framing and subfloor. Moisture readings were monitored throughout the drying process until all structural materials reached acceptable dry levels. Once the structure was fully dry, we completed the reconstruction by installing new cabinet components, replacing the damaged flooring, restoring all affected finishes, and returning the kitchen to its original appearance.
